Licensed Professional Counselor | LPC

Starting Salary 70,000

Full‑time position providing overall clinical oversight of all Texas Care YOUR CLINIC behavioral health programs, staff, clinical policy development, quality improvement, assurance, staff competencies. Clinical services are required to include, but not limited to, clinical assessments, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. Some travel will be required at times when needed.

Work Activities:

  • Ensures that the most effective treatment approaches are utilized; developing new models of treatment. 
  • Monitors regulatory and clinical standards; productivity and quality assurance efforts, meet contractual reporting requirements and performance standards. 
  • Updates, maintains and complies with Texas Cares policies and procedures as it relates to all clinical program operations. 
  • Oversees clinical supervision of Behavioral Health Staff, Outpatient Licensed Therapists, training, and ongoing education.

Qualifications:

  • Clinical Experience:

Qualified Mental Health Professional | QMHP

Starting Hourly $26/hr

To provide ongoing monitoring, support and behavioral health support services to adults with severe psychiatric illnesses, children and youth with emotional trauma, mental and behavioral  difficulties, as well as to serve their families. The Qualified Mental Health Professional will engage the adults, children and family in weekly skills training and case management (routine and intensive) service. 

The Qualified Mental Health Professional will follow a strengths-based model to develop and build skills that will help the children, youth and families function autonomously and successfully. The Qualified Mental Health Professional will work with the clinical team to develop a Recovery/Treatment Plan focused on the client and family’s needs.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Contributes to Texas Cares’ mission, vision, and program philosophies by way of work product and professional behavior with both internal and external consumers 
  • Adheres to all current federal & state laws, as well as Texas Cares’ Policies and Procedures, including the safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Demonstrates an awareness, appreciation and respect for diverse cultures and individual differences of clients and fellow co-workers.. 
  • Participates actively in quality assurance activities including performance and outcomes review, case record review, stakeholder satisfaction review, incident review, and improvement planning. 
  • Reports immediately any suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect to the Child Abuse Hotline and then the Program Coordinator/Director and documents the incident within 24 hours. 
  • Establishes relationships and communicates with children, family members, managing conservators, foster/adopt families and Recovery/Treatment Team members
  • Maintains client and family electronic records 
  • Attends staff/agency meetings

  • Enters demographic data, contacts made, and other required data for all newly assigned clients into the electronic record system in a timely manner i.e., 24 hours
  • Facilitates the development of an individualized Recovery/Treatment Plan within 10 days of intake when the assessment is completed 
  • Works with child, youth and family teams to develop a Crisis Plan to ensure the safety of the client, family, and community 
  • Utilizes approved skills curriculum with client and family to help improve behavior and/or functioning 
  • Coordinates and facilitates ongoing recovery team meetings 
  • Provides 30+ hours of billable services per week; the Behavioral Health Specialist should expect 12 – 15 clients on their caseload depending on number of referrals. Takes initiative to request new client referrals as caseload numbers drop due to discharge and/or upcoming discharges. 
  • Meets face-to-face with clients in their home, school, office and community for the provision of all services 
  • Initially assesses and reassesses (every 90 days or sooner if required for reassessment) the needs of the client by completing a CANS/ANSA Assessment, 
  • Meets with the client, family and all team members, and modifies the Recovery/Treatment Plan to reflect the changes and/or progress made.
  • Keeps the family and team members informed on progress toward achieving Recovery/Treatment Plan goals 
  • Motivates and supports family involvement 
  • Assists client and family in obtaining any financial assistance or services for which they may be eligible under federal, state, and local regulations 
  • Maintains accurate and concise documentation of all services, contacts and collaboration with client, family and community partners. All documentation is to be submitted to the supervisor within 48 hours after service has been delivered. QMHP acknowledges that late documentation (after 48 hours) will result in a reduced hourly rate for any progress notes that are late (after 48 hours). 
  • Provides or secures support and crisis/emergency services for clients and family by phone-contact or in-person. 
  • Maintains an empathic, yet professional, relationship with client and strives to keep clients and families engaged in all services 
  • Maintains all client documentation in the electronic record system and ensures adherence to requirements set forth in all state and federal rules and regulations. 

Supervisor: Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor

Caseload: Estimated 12 to 15 clients  

Work Environment: Primarily community based position with a portion of office-based activities.  

Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Work hours are set by the clients needs, with allowances in scheduling to be available to meet with children, youth and families as well as other team members during times and dates convenient for all parties involved (i.e. evenings and weekends).

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or other related discipline
  • At least two years’ prior experience working in the behavioral health field

Administrative Coordinator

Starting Hourly $25/hr

Texas Care provides a continuum of community- based behavioral health programs to assist individuals in their recovery from mental illness and/or addictive disorders. The Administrative Coordinator works closely under the direction of the Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) supporting Texas Care locations throughout the state of Texas. The Administrative Coordinator performs a wide variety of clerical duties to support Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), staff members, and clients. 

Work Activities: 

  • Contract and Credentialing: 
    • Ensure Texas Care YOUR CLINIC location and staff are contracted and credentialed with insurances and payors. Update Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with contracting and credentialing status routinely as directed. Utilize and manage online credentialing software currently being used for credentialing purposes. 
  • Claims and Billing Support: 
    • Assist with billing-related tasks, including claim submission, reimbursement tracking, and resolving billing inquiries or discrepancies. 
    • May serve as primary timekeeper. Review timesheets for errors. Enters payroll in the database accurately and timely. Tracks leave and unscheduled absences for staff on a spreadsheet and reports to Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) quarterly. 
  • Quality Assurance: 
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure that credentialing and billing processes adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. May performs routine quality assurance phone calls with clients and documents in progress note in individual charts. Submits a contact report regarding the status of phone contacts to the Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). 
  • Administrative and Clerical Duties: 
    • Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks and training when needed. 



  • Chart and Audit Review: 
    • Assists as directed by Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in routine monitor of individual charts following the approved chart audit from. 
    • Files all client documentation in individual charts within one (1) business day of receipt of documentation. 
    • Answers telephone calls. Screen and route callers to appropriate locations and personnel. 
    • Manages incoming requests for behavioral health services and prioritizes appointments using a brief assessment format over the telephone or in person. 
    • Assists with insurance verification and billing process. 
    • Assists psychiatric providers by reviewing requests for services, scheduling appointments for the psychiatric provider, and providing general communication to patients requesting refills or who may have questions regarding their medications. 
    • Provides excellent customer service by using polite and positive language that makes people feel welcome, important, and appreciated. 
    • Informs staff of visitor arrival, checks for staff availability, and schedules appointments. 
    • Checks for mail and faxes and distributes to appropriate staff members.

    • Participates in regularly scheduled supervisory sessions.

    • Perform general office maintenance tasks such as keeping the office clean, safe, and organized. 
  • Franchisee Assistance: 
    • Provide guidance and support to franchisees in the credentialing process, including CARF accreditation. Familiarity with CARF accreditation is helpful. Some travel may be required to assist franchisees on-site. Flexibility is required to ensure all franchisees receive continuing support. Additionally, ensure each franchise is credentialed with Medicaid, and all relationships with Managed Care Organizations are secured and up to date. Develop knowledge specific to all managed care regions in the state of Texas. 

Supervision: 

Receives assignments and organizational requests regarding day-to-day responsibilities from the Clinical Director or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (primary supervisor). Receives requests and assignments from the psychiatric provider regarding patient care needs.

Texas Care provides a continuum of community- based behavioral health programs to assist individuals in their recovery from mental illness and/or addictive disorders. Community Outreach Specialist

Starting Hourly $18/hr

The Community Outreach at Texas Care YOUR CLINIC is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing outreach strategies to promote the organization’s services while ensuring compliance with Medicaid and healthcare marketing regulations. This role involves coordinating branding efforts, leading marketing campaigns, supporting franchise offices, and guiding the marketing team in their daily activities. Bilingual applicants preferred

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Community Outreach & Execution:
    • Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with the Texas Care mission.
    • Oversee digital and print marketing campaigns, ensuring brand consistency.
    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Ensure compliance with Medicaid guidelines and regulatory policies.
  • Branding & Content Management:
    • Maintain brand integrity across all marketing materials, ensuring adherence to Texas Care branding guidelines.
    • Create, review, and approve marketing collateral, including social media posts, flyers, and digital ads.
    • Collaborate with graphic designers and content creators to develop engaging materials. 
  • Team Leadership & Training: 
    • Supervise and mentor the community outreach team, ensuring clear communication and task delegation. 
    • Conduct training sessions on marketing compliance, branding, and best practices. 
    • Provide support to franchise offices on marketing strategies and local outreach efforts. 
  • Event Coordination & Outreach:
  • Assist franchise locations with outreach and promotion of community events.
  • Develop outreach materials to engage Medicaid members and potential clients. 
  • Represent the organization at events when needed. 

 

  • Collaboration & Communication: 
    • Work closely with leadership, outreach teams, and franchise offices to align marketing efforts.
    • Communicate outreach updates, trends, and strategies to relevant departments.
    • Handle inquiries related to marketing policies and best practices. 

Required Qualifications: 

Education: 

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience: 

Experience in community outreach in healthcare or Medicaid-related services preferred. 

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of branding, social media, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with marketing software, CRM tools, and content management systems. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Medicaid or healthcare outreach is a plus.
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations related to community outreach is a plus.
  • Leadership experience in a community outreach team or similar role is a plus.
